Austria and Slovakia signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work in partnership in the oil and gas business.
At the top of the agenda is construction of the long-planned Bratislava-Schwechat-Pipeline (BSP). As proposed, the 60-km pipeline with a capacity of 2.5 to 5 MMt/y will be connected with the 3,000-km Russian pipeline network, enabling the direct import of Russian crude to the Schwechat refinery.
